Your pairs of skis are back on track and highlighted on your agenda is the date of your favourite ski resort’s grand opening. You are ready! Let’s head to Les Arcs’ to rediscover the Vallée de l’Arc.

First runs in Vallée de l’Arc – Pré Saint Esprit

Warm and cosy – this is how you feel as the landscape unfolds beneath – your mind wanders from peak to peak, searching for crisp snow, longing for breath-taking views – this feels like a ski paradise, and you. Feel. Alive.Suddenly, the transparent shield opens up and reality hits you in the face: it’s time to jump off that cosy seat and realize you are on top of Pré Saint Esprit chairlift. Not only does it feel like paradise – it is paradise!

Pré Saint Esprit: the new favourite spot!

You are setting your gear ready, focusing again: this new Pré Saint Esprit chairlift is so fast and comfy that you’d almost fail to get off! That would be a shame to miss the new Vallée de l’Arc ski area... This part of Les Arcs Paradiski resort is filled with hidden treasures – the resort has decided in 2017 to remodel the whole area and unveil these secret spots to visitors. Refurbishing the domain includes the opening of a key liaison ski track between Arcs 1600 and Malgovert forest, tiny Villaroger chalets and Arcs 2000, heading towards the mountain tops. You certainly don’t want to miss these brand new slopes: the whole family can ride the blue Vallée de l’Arc ski track, with top quality snow and smooth curves that accommodate even beginners through the entire season. One last glance at the valley: Mont-Blanc seems so close! Quick words from a skier are reaching your ears “Oh, how I loved this heated chairlift and its bubble-like cover!” You could not agree more, but it’s high time you hit the slopes, too.

 Comborcière 2018-2019 – not a secret anymore!

Of course, the reshaped version of Pré Saint Esprit might lead to some cringing in jealousy – but wait for phase 2 of the remodelling project: in 2018-2019, the Comborcière area has its own facelift too, with a brand new chairlift connecting the bottom of Vallée de l’Arc to Arc 1600 – in an eye blink. Because skiing is more than just speeding down in elegant-yet-adrenaline-filled-curves – the breath-taking panoramas at the top of Comborcière deserve your applause as well. You may enjoy them while taking a pause on the newly arranged picnic zones up there – a smart way to combine sandwich and fresh air. Want to capture and share the view? The picnic zones are equipped with Wi-Fi and plugs for your electronic device batteries: fear no power outage, there is a reason we call it slopes 2.0 with a view. Insider’s tip for your descent: explore the newly opened “Piste du Secret” ([Secret slope]), nested in a tiny valley, afar from sight. Keep it a secret!
